Tech It: Your Life In Just One Place

Thank God It Is A Friday!!! Only those taking part in this winter story telling festival can understand the excitement of Friday. First the theme was out of the comfort zone of most people yet there is no retreat nor surrender on these streets, you just keep going no matter how it feels.

Some have confessed that this was one of the hardest writings they have had to do their entire writing life! Personally I think I would have been in the same place but I have worked for tech companies before hence the exposure. Thank God that experience comes in handy most times like in this week’s challenge.

That said I want to say Bravo to you that has made it thus far, you are doing great. Let’s keep climbing, another week’s theme unfolds on Monday so let’s charge up!

Today I am just doing a photo splash to sum up how almost all my life moves with me everywhere I go on my gadget.

I keep memories of moments recorded in my phone’s gallery lest I forget.

Different places that left a mark

Left: Kigali. Stayed here for close to a month doing media work.

Bottom left: In Switzerland at a museum hanging out with guns and feeling like an avenger of sorts.

On the Right: I was a life skills teacher living on the road literally. In the background is a US Embassy bus that we travelled in to different schools in rural areas of Uganda teaching Tech and Science, Games, Life Skills, Robotics etc.

Bottom Right: That picture makes me appear calm and collected but I am so afraid of large water bodies yet here I was on a boat in the middle of nowhere, on an island!

Like any mom, my phone is full of baby images of my now toddler right from when she was a baby. I catch myself watching her videos as a tiny baby and comparing them to a power house she is now. It is such a beautiful reminder of God’s grace and faithfulness. You can’t print all of them out right? So the phone or laptop is that storage place.

Also, I can balance my books, monitor my health, habits, read books, music, goof, talk to love ones that are miles away etc. all in one place- my gadgets.

Despite all this, it can be easy to chat with someone and feel like you truly know how they are only to find out you missed it days or moments later. Tech is good but nothing beats the traditional feel of hanging out with people, hugging them, laughing out loud or crying together, sharing a meal on the same table etc. Make sure to put your phone down and take it in all these moments.

Some moments are best stored in your heart!

Catch you on Monday God willing.

    1. hahaha I hear you. I am limping through this week which to many should be the easiest, maybe I am just exhausted all the time but I can almost see the finish line. Airplane mode activated. Cheers!
